The Rotem/TEG EQA Programmes consist of 3 surveys per year with 1 sample per survey. To view the current year's survey schedule please click here. Samples are posted out directly to registered participants, samples must be tested and results returned by fax, email or post, before the deadline, on the results sheet provided. Registered participants will receive their reports by post and this is usually within 2 weeks of the deadline. For an explanation of how results are scored, please see below.
For centres outside of the UK please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
For the ROTEM, participants are asked to return results for the following:
For the TEG, participants are asked to return results for the following:
Reports will show median results and ranges of reported results for each of these parameters. However, performance analysis will only be carried out on CT or R values respectively, as described below.
Survey results are analysed and a median (target) value determined. The results are arranged in order and a target range is calculated whereby the 20% of centres that are farthest away from the median (10% above and the 10% below) are considered to be outwith consensus. The centres within the target range are within consensus.
Participants' results and performance details are kept in confidence between UK NEQAS BC and the named individuals identified by the participant. If results are outwith consensus in 3 consecutive surveys a letter will be sent from the Scheme Director bringing attention to this and offering assistance.
